What would you like to attract in your life – a job, a promotion, your soul mate? It doesn’t matter what you want to attract, the better you dress the more confident you feel, which automatically sets you up to attract more of what you want. Being well dressed does not mean you have to be a fashionista. It simply means using clothing and accessories to accentuate your assets.
We are now into February, the month of love and Valentine’s Day. If you’re looking for the perfect mate, improving your image is a great place to begin. However, if you’ve found your love and there are other situations and people you’d like to attract into your life, improving your image is also a wonderful place to start. No matter what you are trying to attract here are some tips to update your image so you can start attracting more of what you want.
Be honest – The first step, which might be the most difficult, is to take an honest look at your wardrobe and appearance and ask yourself these questions: Am I a match to what I want to attract? Do I feel confident when I walk into a room or meet new people? No matter what you hope to attract your must answer ‘yes’ to these questions. The reason this step is difficult for many women is because they know they could look better but they have no idea where their image is deficient or where to begin to correct it. Be really honest with yourself. When was the last time you changed your hairstyle, are you confident choosing clothing that flatters your body shape and what aspect of your appearance would you like to change the most?
Get Organized – A disorganized closet not only causes dressing headaches it also makes being a great dresser virtually impossible. If you want to look great your first step is to clear out and organize your closet. When your closet is organized you find clothes easier and you don’t buy items you already have because you’ve forgotten you have them and lost them in the clutter.
Wear Flattering Styles: When you choose styles that flatter your body shape you look slimmer and more stylish. Two great reasons to find out which styles are most flattering, right? Since we are all shaped differently we don’t all fall into a ‘one style fits all”. Dressing in styles that are the right length, the perfect cut are two ways that you will look fabulous. If you don’t know your best styles you are throwing money away on clothes you’ll never wear.

Dress for the Occasion: When you know your best lengths and most flattering cuts the next step is to dress to suit the occasion. A suit or dress that boosts your professional image is appropriate for work, it is most likely not the outfit you’ll want to wear on a first date. It is very important that your clothing fits well but it is equally important that what you wear is ‘occasion appropriate’. For example, a pant, blouse and jacket combination is perfect for work but on a date you might want to have a more relaxed and approachable look. Think about the occasion and the message you want to convey and dress accordingly.
Get Your Color Right: Color is one of the most attracting elements. Color has psychological qualities that create emotions in people who see them. For example, light blue is a calming color and red stimulates the appetite. The colors you choose to wear near your face also affects your skin’s appearance. When you wear your right colors your skin looks healthier, your eyes look brighter and wrinkles are less apparent.
Never underestimate the power your image has in attracting what you want. Get clear on the image you want to reveal and get to work creating that image. If you need help, contact me and I will help you find styles that are perfect for you.
